About Us

Aerial view of Astoria with the Elks Lodge and bridge in sight.

Lodge #180 has been part of Astoria, Oregon since the early 1900s, anchoring the corner of 11th Street with a building that visitors consistently call wonderfully funky and full of character. Walk through the doors and you immediately sense the layers of history, the kind that accumulates when generation after generation of members gather in the same rooms to share meals, play games, and look out for their neighbors.

The lodge draws members from across the Columbia River region and regularly hosts visiting Elks from other lodges, sometimes twenty or more at a time. That kind of cross-lodge camaraderie is not an accident. Members here are known for going out of their way to make newcomers feel like regulars, coaching first-time bingo players through every card and every game variation without a hint of impatience.

Beyond the fellowship, the lodge operates as a genuine community hub, hosting banquets and events in a space that has genuine character you simply cannot manufacture. The building alone is worth a visit. The people inside make you want to come back.

What We Offer

Bingo nights are a local favorite, drawing a friendly crowd for an evening of affordable entertainment. Dinner is served alongside, with options like pizza and salad priced so reasonably that a full night out costs less than a movie ticket. Games are explained patiently to anyone who is new, so there is no barrier to jumping in.

The lodge's banquet hall accommodates private events, lodge gatherings, and community functions in a space that has real architectural character. Visiting lodges frequently choose Astoria #180 as a destination stop for regional meetings and multi-lodge events. The thrift and discount store on-site offers affordable goods to the public while supporting the lodge's charitable mission.

All lodge programs connect back to the Elks' national mission: charitable giving, support for veterans, and investment in youth and community development. Every dollar spent here circles back into Astoria and the surrounding coastal Oregon community.

"Went to the Elks Lodge to play bingo. Very nice group of people. Dinner (pizza & salad ) was very affordable. They coached me through how to play the different games. Not a very large crowd, but it was a lot of fun. As a non-member, I was hoping for a li5more interaction with the regulars, but maybe that will happen on my next visit."

Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
